It's all sort of faded but the basics are there, I just can't remember who did what.

I had a dream last night with Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen.  They were younger, they were sort of a couple, there was kissing!!!!!!!!! and then one of them decided it wasn't going to work. (I don't remember who it was) Then years later they show up somewhere, like a restaurat, one of them was in a relationship with some other guy, and the one who had broken it off was thinking that maybe he shouldn't have, that maybe it would have worked.

I wish I could remember more specifics, I don't think there was more than kissing and if there was I'm pissed at my brain for forgetting!!!!

Mood: calm

Well, Thanksgiving is over and it wasn't too bad. My brother-in-law's family is a crazy bunch and not the fun kind of crazy. The selfish, it's all about me crazy. This time most of them weren't there so it was almost pleasant.

I bought the new Alternative Press magazine with the Green Day article!!!!!
So so happy!! Great pictures and story, can't wait for the new album.

Reading a really really funny book - Death a Life by George Pendle. It's the tell all memoir by Death, he talks about his childhood in Hell, and then how he found his calling on Earth. His love of Maud, how his parents, Sin and Satan, go about corrupting the inhabitants of Earth, and how God's creation wasn't all that perfect.

I spent part of yesterday watching No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain. He does the type of travel I love to watch but not sure I'd want to do. And he's definitely more adventuresome with his eating!!

Haha, turns out there is a new craft store right in my town! Don't know if it has needlepoint stuff but maybe something will catch my eye.

My Sunday:

Catching up on the episodes of Dexter I've missed. This season is quite interesting, much better than S2. It gets icky but I find the relationships that are developing interesting.

Also catching up on the last 2 episodes of Supernatural. I've been getting tired of this one. I'm still watching but I'm not as enthusiastic as I once was.

I've been good doing all that grown-up stuff, cleaning and bills. Have even done some Christmas shopping! Went to the mall and found some things and have done some online shopping, which I much prefer. It's easier and less crowded!

Is too early to start planning and reading about my vacation next year? Western Canada here I come! I've got my guidebook and I want to go now!

Help, please @ 03:20 pm

Mood: disappointed

About once every 3-5 years I feel like needlepointing, I'll do it for a few months and then put it away, till the next time. So this week the urge this week to start up again (I think it's reading the knitting stuff that some on my flist are doing!)

So, after doing a little Christmas shopping I decide to go to the craft store and see what I can find. Due to construction and traffic it took me an hour there and back on what would be a 20 minute round trip. Only to discover the store isn't there anymore!!!!

I'm sure there are online stores, but does anyone who does crafty things have any recommendations of where to buy online?

Mood: blank

I can't believe it's the middle of November. This year is just speeding by and it's a little scary.

Very important work decisions:
What calendar to get for next year? It's what I look at to give me a moment of sanity and/or peace while at work. Right now it's penguins. I've had sunflowers, Greece, Italy. Do I want more penguins? Or cats? Or beaches?

Had a haircut today, so I can see again.

I rewatched season 2 of Torchwood. I really liked it.

Next in the Netflix cue - Far North and Outlaw, both Sean Bean movies and I'm sooo excited!!! I love watching Sean.

And I'm thinking of Christmas presents for the family and having a hard time, just coming up with nothing and I don't want to ask yet, but I may resort to the "tell me what you want" ploy.

You Are a Hazelnut Latte

You often having the craving for something exotic. You get bored easily.

You are a true adventurer. Nothing makes you happier than traveling.

You're a very cosmopolitan and worldly person. You have sophisticated tastes.

You have a keen attention to detail. Little things matter to you - you are a bit of a perfectionist.

The first part is right, but I'm really nowhere near being a perfectionist! And really, any weather is coffee weather.

NaNoWriMo, Sort of @ 07:24 pm

Mood: creative

I decided to sort of do NaNoWriMo this month. Sort of because I don't really write, but I thought it would be an incentive to sort of try. So, I promised myself that I would write daily, anything, even for 5 minutes, just to get started and see what happens.

So, I've checked out some of the prompts and challenges here on IJ as inspiration. It'll probably all suck, but if I do something that seems sort of interesting I'll post for criticism. Mostly, all the other writers here have inspired me to at least try.

Hello again @ 11:40 am

Mood: relaxed

I disappeared for a week for my regularly scheduled vacation. I was being pampered and ate good food and read 4 books and didn't have to talk to anyone. It was a grand time.

A horrible flight home though, delays due to storm so we were circling for an hour, then as we were going in it there was terrible turbulence and lightning that seemed extremely close. Even the landing was scary there was some kind of a bang. But all is well and I'm really glad to be back home!

Cleaning and catching up, and checking out some of the shows I taped but it seems the TV went out Thurs. (and isn't back yet) so I lost Supernatural, Doctor Who, and something else I can't think of at the moment. Not happy.

I've been catching up here and good to see that everyone is basically healthy and happy.

I had a marathon Torchwood session this weekend. Watched all of season two and am just thrilled. I'll have to watch it all again, savor it, remember details. They were all better this time around and I liked Owen and Tosh better, they seemed stronger. Capt. Jack was just great, but then "why mess with perfection" And Reese, great surprise there.

Loved it all, need more Torchwood icons!

I may have mentioned before, but one of my co-workers has been out since June due to cancer in her mouth (or there abouts, I'm not sure of details) Things are worse than I think she was led to believe, she has no teeth and her tongue had to be remade, she eats through a tube. All along she has said she doesn't want anyone to come see her, and the last month she has made a few phone calls, and she is getting out a little bit, but she really doesn't want anyone to visit.

A second co-worker has been upset from the beginning because she hasn't been able to go over and visit. She keeps trying to invite herself over and she's been getting more upset because she can't go over (she believes she's a good friend, but really she's just nosy, and she's complained about this co-worker in the past before all this started) A couple of times this past week I've heard a real pissed off tone in her voice when she mentions not being able to go over and again today. She acts likes it's a personal attack and she doesn't seem to understand the not wanting to have visitors.

I had to walk outside, I was on the verge of getting violent.

Dreams @ 06:42 am

Mood: confused

More with the odd dreams.

I dream that I'm getting into bondage with...Kelly Ripa!?
And she's the Dom. I'm not sure where we are but we've done some tying up and now, I'm lying on this massage table sort of thing, and she's painting my toenails. She used clear and numbered them. Later she'll put a color on them and then tells me I have to wear open toed shoes. I'm looking at my toes wondering why they are numbered and tell her I don't have any shoes like that, except my old sandals, they have no heals. She's rambling on about something and I'm thinking what does this have to do with anything?

Then it goes into something else. But Kelly Ripa? I've seen her show with Regis once. Can't stand her perkiness. So what the hell was my brain thinking?

I watched Bella last night.  I didn't love it, but there were moments. I got a little confused a few times, but overall it was good.  The acting was great and I liked the idea of how someone could randomly help someone else. But I spent most of the time wanting to yank the guys bead off. I love scruff, but full on beards, blech, too much facial hair is icky, for me.

Mood: tired

So Monday night I had a weird dream but I didn't remember enough when I woke to write anything.

Then Tues. and Wed. at work were insanely busy. People had all summer to come in and get their library cards, get the summer reading books, register for school. But did they? Of course not. What really surprised me were the parents coming in to find out how to register their kid for school, when school started on Wed. A little late, oui?

I spent the last week, weekend watching the Lord of the Rings, all three of them. Much love.
Then I went looking for some stories, I'm particularly fond of Sean Bean/Viggo Mortensen stories and I read some new ones, but mostly reread some old ones that was comforting and fun. I want more.
